6 -- First day of school 

17-18 -- Schools closed for Rosh Hashanah 

26 -- Schools closed for Yom Kippur 

October

8 -- Columbus Day, schools closed 

November

6 -- Election Day (no classes) 

12 -- Schools closed for Veterans Day 

22-23 -- Thanksgiving recess 

December

24-31-- Schools closed for winter recess 

January 2013

2 -- School resumes 

21 -- Schools closed for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

February

18-22 -- Schools closed for midwinter recess 

March

25-29 -- Schools closed for spring recess 
