STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- City Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina is expected to address borough residents Thursday night at a Town Hall meeting being held at Petrides Educational Complex in Sunnyside.
The hour-long event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is being hosted by the District 31 Community Education Council. The meeting will involve a heavy dose of questions for Ms. Farina that have been submitted prior to the gathering's start.
CEC members were asked to submit a list of more than 20 topics to the chancellor's staff in advance, ranging from school safety, to promotion standards, testing and the Common Core, co-location, and pre-k classes.
The session will be moderated by CEC Chairman Sam Pirozzolo.
