Scores of students were busted by police after trashing a New Jersey high school.

TEANECK, N.J. -- A wild high school prank in Teaneck, N.J., resulted in the arrest of more than 60 students.

Sixty-two classmates were arrested after a senior prank where the teens sprayed silly string on floors, taped hot dogs to lockers, flipped desks, urinated in the hallways and smeared Vaseline on doors around the school early Thursday, authorities said, according to NJ.com.

Police found the vandalism after responding to a burglary alarm at Teaneck High School around 2 p.m., said the report. When cops arrived, some students ran from the site, while others hid inside.

Of the 62 students, 24 were charged as adults. The remaining 38 juveniles were released to their parents, reported NJ.com.

All of them will be charged with burglary and criminal mischief, said the publication.

Because of the number of students, police from more than 15 agencies assisted Teaneck Police, according to the report.

The damage wasn't permanent, officials told the Star-Ledger, and school resumed as usual Thursday.
